Procurement Category Specialist Job Summary

We are seeking a Procurement Category Specialist to support our Warehousing & Logistics category in line with overall business objectives. This is a fixed-term contract until the end of June 2025.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of a Category Strategy aligned with the overall procurement and business plan.
  • Understand the product portfolio and spend under management to support a segmented supply chain solution.
  • Gain expertise in the spend category markets and dynamics.

The ideal candidate will have proficient stakeholder management across all levels of the organization, commercially astute, and proven procurement Category Management Skills ideally with knowledge in Freight & Warehousing.

Strong decision-making ability and team management skills are also required. Proven negotiation and conflict management skills with the ability to resolve issues at all levels of management are essential.

Requirements:
  • Proficient stakeholder management across all levels of the organization.
  • Commercially astute.
  • Proven procurement Category Management Skills, ideally with knowledge in Freight & Warehousing.
  • Strong decision-making ability and team management skills.
  • Proven negotiation and conflict management skills with the ability to resolve issues at all levels of management.

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or equivalent is required. CIPS or APICS or other Certification advantageous. 2-3 years of procurement / supply chain experience in relevant categories are preferred.
