Senior Environmental Specialist

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Environmental Scientist to join our team in Dublin. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the continued growth of our environmental services, working collaboratively with a team of experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Leading and managing project teams, reporting directly to a Director
- Overseeing the project management and delivery of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEAs), Appropriate Assessments (AAs), planning application documentation, and other environmental reports
- Providing expert technical guidance on environmental matters across the business
- Actively contributing to business development efforts and supporting growth initiatives
- Managing the execution and compliance of regulatory approvals throughout project lifecycles
- Degree-qualified in a relevant environmental discipline
- 12-15 years of post-graduate experience in an environmental role
- Chartered status in relevant professional discipline
- Strong understanding of planning, environmental, and waste management legislation
- Demonstrated experience in project management and in the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports, planning applications, and licence/permit applications across a broad range of projects
- Proven experience in team leadership and client management
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
- Flexible, collaborative, and an effective team member
- Strong technical writing and report reviewing skills
- Experienced in liaising with external stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and sub-contractors
- Holds a full, clean driving licence
