Job Overview

This role is a temporary, full-time position within an organization that provides services for children with complex needs.

The Role's Key Responsibilities
  • To provide clinical nursing skills in supporting children with complex needs.
  • To demonstrate and maintain the highest quality of nursing practice and apply their skills to ensure the developmental, learning, physical, social, and emotional needs of the children in their care are addressed at all times.
  • To be an informed resource for educating and supporting care assistants and family members.
Key Requirements
  • A current registration certificate from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) is essential.
  • A postgraduate diploma in intellectual disability is highly desirable.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of six months' experience of working with children who have an intellectual disability.
  • A valid manual Irish driving licence is desirable for this post.
  • Fluency in verbal and written English is an essential requirement of this post.
  • Basic IT skills are also desirable.
