Job Summary

Sustainability and Climate Analyst | North Dublin

  • A leading company in the aviation sector has a new role created for a Sustainability and Climate Analyst.

The successful candidate will play a key role within the sustainability team to deliver the company's vision in relation to its sustainability ambitions and reporting compliance. The role will provide insights and analysis on issues such as carbon emissions, fuel efficiency, operational processes, and product-related sustainability initiatives that will inform and shape the sustainability strategy, track performance, and ensure compliance with environmental reporting obligations.

Main Responsibilities

The Sustainability and Climate Analyst will be responsible for:

  1. Monitoring and reporting performance against company key performance indicators in climate, noise, waste, energy, and water metrics.
  2. Modelling and forecasting current and future greenhouse gas emissions performance, mitigation options, and carbon pricing scenarios.
  3. Coordinating data and information to comply with environmental legislation at corporate level, including emissions trading schemes and CORSIA.
  4. Engaging with external auditors and consultants as necessary for compliance obligations.
  5. Ensuring compliance with mandatory reporting requirements, including contributing to annual group sustainability disclosure reporting.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A qualified accounting background or circa 3-5 years working experience in a finance-related role.
  • Proven ability to analyze statistical data with confidence, including database management skills in Excel.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Fluent English.
