Clinical Nurse Manager Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing safe medication management practices throughout the service.

  • Medication Management Oversight: The Clinical Nurse Manager will ensure that medication management practices are in line with best practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Clinic Organisation: The Clinical Nurse Manager will be responsible for organising and managing clinics, ensuring that they run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Nursing Team Supervision: The Clinical Nurse Manager will provide clinical supervision to nursing teams, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care.
  • Clinical Training Development: The Clinical Nurse Manager will develop and deliver clinical training programmes, ensuring that staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care.
  • Policy Implementation: The Clinical Nurse Manager will support the development and implementation of policies, ensuring that they are aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Healthcare Professional Liaison: The Clinical Nurse Manager will liaise with healthcare professionals, ensuring that communication is effective and collaborative.

Requirements:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
  • Excellent knowledge of medication management
  • Understanding of individual needs
  • 5 years' experience in nursing
  • Effective communication and organisational skills

  • Collaborate with senior leaders to inform decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
