Job Title: Environmental Compliance Specialist

A critical role in our organization requires an individual to take on the responsibility of ensuring a safe and sustainable work environment. As an Environmental Compliance Specialist, you will play a vital part in implementing effective environmental and health & safety systems across various facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and implement HSE policies, procedures, and systems aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
  • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement control measures
  • Provide daily support to teams across multiple locations, ensuring site and operational compliance with internal and external standards
  • Lead incident investigations, report findings, and drive preventive actions
  • Deliver training sessions, inductions, and toolbox talks to employees and contractors
  • Monitor and analyse HSE data, producing regular reports and identifying trends
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed a proactive and positive safety culture

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in HSE within manufacturing or engineering environments
  • Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH)
  • Knowledge of current HSE legislation and compliance frameworks
  • Investigation, audit, and reporting experience
  • Clean UK driving license with flexibility to travel between sites

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Digital HSE management system experience
  • Environmental initiative experience (e.g., waste management, carbon footprint reduction)
  • Internal HSE training experience
