About the Role">

As a Senior Opto-Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering cutting-edge solutions for emerging technologies.

Our team is at the forefront of free space optical communications, and we are currently seeking an experienced engineer to join us.

  • Design and develop opto-mechanical systems for various applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive impactful solutions
  • Prototype designs in our on-site manufacturing workshop

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve engineering practices and procedures within a growing start-up environment
  • Apply CAD design, closed-form calculations, finite element analysis (FEA), and prototyping to realize opto-mechanical systems
  • Ensure mechanical designs meet space-grade standards
  • Mentor and develop the team while achieving deadlines
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of mechanical, aerospace, optical, or related engineering experience
  • B.Eng/M.Eng in Mechanical, Optical, Aerospace Engineering, or a relevant field
  • Understanding of early-stage prototyping and product development
  • Exposure to common manufacturing processes
  • Experience with commercial CAD packages (e.g., SolidWorks, NX) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, Femap, Nastran)
