Opto-Mechanical Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Opto-Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As part of our growth strategy, this role will play a crucial part in delivering innovative solutions for cutting-edge Free Space Optical (FSO) systems.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, aerospace, or optical engineering, with experience in designing and developing opto-mechanical systems. They will also have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

  • Develop and implement opto-mechanical designs for FSO systems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical, thermal, and electrical components into dynamic environments.
  • Apply CAD design, simulation tools, and prototyping techniques to realize novel opto-mechanical systems.
  • Ensure mechanical designs meet space-grade standards, producing and maintaining GD&T-controlled drawings and procedures under formal configuration control.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical, aerospace, or optical engineering.
  • B.Eng/M.Eng degree in Mechanical, Optical, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of early-stage prototyping and product development.
  • Experience with commercial CAD packages (SolidWorks, NX, etc.) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS).
