Expert Counsellor/Therapist Required

We are seeking qualified professionals to join our team of Accredited Counsellor/Therapists. The role involves providing short-term counselling services in primary care settings to medical card holders aged 18 years and over.
The successful candidate will work under the governance of the HSE National Counselling Service, which provides a supportive environment for professional development and growth.
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced counsellors/therapists to contribute their skills and expertise to delivering high-quality counselling services in Dublin South West, Kildare, and West Wicklow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide short-term counselling to medical card holders aged 18 years and over in primary care settings.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams within the HSE National Counselling Service.
- Potentially provide trauma-informed counselling contracts to adult survivors of childhood trauma.
Requirements:
- Hold a recognised Level 7 qualification or higher (QQI) in a relevant human science discipline or equivalent in a health and social care profession or health-related profession.
- Have either:
- (a) Hold a degree or post-graduate qualification in counselling or psychotherapy recognised by one of the following: IACP/BACP or a relevant body within ICP.
- (b) Have full accredited membership with one of the following: IACP/BACP or a relevant body within ICP.
- (c) Hold a post-graduate qualification in counselling psychology or clinical psychology recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).
- (d) Have full accredited membership with the Counselling or Clinical Psychology Division of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).
- Locations include Dublin South West, Kildare, and West Wicklow, including Athy, Naas, Newbridge, Kilcock, Blessington, Celbridge, Maynooth, Tallaght, Crumlin, Clondalkin, Ballyfermot, and Inchicore.
