Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing purchase orders to determine quantities, delivery dates, and inventory levels, and placing orders accordingly.
  • Negotiating best prices and lead times with suppliers.
  • Collaborating with production teams to ensure timely material deliveries.
  • Booking deliveries onto the purchasing system.
  • Issuing materials to production.
  • Maintaining accurate purchasing databases, investigating inventory discrepancies, and resolving invoice/delivery/receiving issues.
  • Monitoring supplier performance and establishing key performance metrics (KPIs).
  • Working with R&D to select suppliers and materials.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to address material or quality issues.
  • Conducting supplier risk assessments to ensure continuous supply of materials.
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce costs.
  • FOLLOWING established policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum three years' experience in a professional buying role, including experience in material management.
  • Experience working in a GMP/Medical Device environment.
  • Experience purchasing and managing various material commodities.
  • Experience in purchasing, supplier relations, material planning, and inventory management.
  • A strong understanding of MRP systems.
  • Familiarity with product specifications.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
