Automation Expert

Deliver Automation Support and Solutions

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to provide technical support and guidance to our process, maintenance and facilities teams.

The successful candidate will have strong diagnostic and faulting abilities, good knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes, and experience with PLC systems, SCADA systems and electrical systems.

The Automation Team is responsible for providing automation support for operations and project implementation, working closely with the Process Engineers on investigations and delivering projects and continuous improvements to reduce or eliminate technical issues in the area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and guidance to Process, Maintenance & Facilities Engineers
  • Work with the Automation Team to deliver automation solutions and support initiatives/workshops
  • Be responsible for and involved in troubleshooting and maintenance of all production processes and equipment
  • Work closely with the Process Engineers on Investigations and delivering projects and Continuous Improvements to reduce/eliminate technical issues in the area
  • Support initiatives/workshops FMEAs as required

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years' experience in a pharmaceutical control systems operational and/or project engineering role
  • Experience of PLC systems Siemens Elau, SCADA systems Ifix/Wonderware, Utility MS and EMS systems
  • Good knowledge of Manufacturing equipment & processes
  • Strong Diagnostic & faulting abilities
  • Good Knowledge of PLC/SCADA & Vision systems
  • Good Knowledge of Electrical systems, Drives Units & associated Schematics
