Lead Antimicrobial Pharmacist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled pharmacist to lead our antimicrobial stewardship program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing strategies to improve antimicrobial use and providing clinical pharmacy services in our theatres.

The ideal candidate will have experience in antimicrobial therapy auditing and monitoring, as well as excellent communication skills to work closely with multidisciplinary teams. You will also have a strong understanding of medicines management processes and be able to provide expert advice on antimicrobial prescribing.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to antimicrobial stewardship and theatre services. You will also participate in quality improvement initiatives and collaborate with other departments to optimize patient care.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement antimicrobial stewardship strategies to improve antimicrobial use
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services in our theatres, including antimicrobial therapy monitoring and advising on antimicrobial prescribing
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and implement quality improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to antimicrobial stewardship and theatre services

Requirements:

  • Registration as a pharmacist with the relevant authority
  • Experience in antimicrobial therapy auditing and monitoring
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong understanding of medicines management processes
