A Laboratory Assistant role is available in a state-of-the-art laboratory environment where you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations and ensuring the highest quality of work.
About the JobThis position involves working closely with the laboratory team to carry out various tasks, including following safety protocols, maintaining order and identifying samples, and operating equipment according to instructions. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to follow written and oral instructions. Previous laboratory experience is desirable but not essential as full training is provided.
- Perform tasks as assigned by the Laboratory Manager or other supervisor, adhering to established safety protocols and procedures.
- Maintain order of samples being processed and report any deviations to the Laboratory Manager or Supervisor.
- Operate equipment according to instructions and manual guidelines, following safety rules at all times.
- Report any accidents, anomalies, or deviations in equipment performance to the Laboratory Manager or Supervisor.
- Assist in routine maintenance of equipment and keep the workplace clean and tidy.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Fully trained in laboratory practices and procedures.
- Able to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and operations.
