Job Title: Advanced Clinical Practitioner - Diagnostic Imaging

Department: Diagnostic Imaging

Reports to: Diagnostic Imaging Manager

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with professional guidelines.
  • Assist in diagnostic imaging procedures including induction of anaesthesia.
  • Carry out all clinical practice in accordance with hospital policies, including the administration of medicines.
  • Maintain accurate patient records as per hospital policy.
  • Collaborate with diagnostic imaging team and other healthcare professionals to provide a high standard of patient care and service delivery.
  • Continuously update own knowledge and participate in ongoing education.
  • Where required, pursue relevant education and training to enhance scope of practice.
  • Be aware of potential hazards within the department and initiate preventative measures.
  • Monitor and supervise equipment maintenance; reporting problems to the Department Manager or deputy.
  • Deputise for the Department Manager in their absence.
  • Assist with staff rostering to ensure effective staffing cover is maintained, including weekend duties.
  • Discuss any issues or concerns with the Department Manager or Nurse in Charge.
  • You may be required to work in any area as the need arises.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Hospital Authority through the Director of Nursing Services.
Person Specification
  • NMBI Registered General Nurse licence.
  • Minimum 2 years acute hospital experience.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing essential.
  • Desirable: experience in diagnostic imaging/ interventional radiology.
