Mental Health Clinical Nurse Manager Position

Job Title: Mental Health Clinical Nurse Manager I
About the RoleThis is a leadership role in our clinical team where you will be responsible for managing and caring for service users, ensuring they receive the highest standard of nursing care.
You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide clinical and professional leadership, supporting the nursing team, promoting the development of nursing staff, and arranging their clinical experience and supervision.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the ward, ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines.
- Providing supervision and training to nursing staff, identifying their training needs and providing guidance and support as appropriate.
- Monitoring and evaluating care given, encouraging evidence-based practice and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Maintaining good relations with medical, paramedical, and other staff, ensuring prescribed care is carried out.
- Deputising for CNM II as required.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Registered Psychiatric Nurse with The Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI), or eligible to register with NMBI.
- 3 years post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting or relevant clinical area within the last 5 years.
- Demonstrate management/in-charge experience within the last year.
- Experience in teaching and assessing the nursing and Health Care Assistant team.
- Demonstrate professional knowledge of clinical risk assessment.
- Working knowledge of healthcare patient record systems.
- Experience in treatment and recovery of patients presenting with mental illness.
