EMEA Payroll Role – Galway – Hybrid Work Arrangement

We are seeking an experienced EMEA Payroll Specialist to support our Finance Team's continued growth. The successful candidate will work closely with the International Payroll Manager and the EMEA Payroll Shared Services team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Processing
  • Process Complex Payrolls for Multiple Countries
  • Collaborate with HR and Total Rewards teams to consolidate payroll change-related data.
  • Prepare accurate payroll documentation for submission to the payroll provider.
  • Maintain controls to capture monthly changes, reconcile differences, and explain discrepancies.
  • Respond promptly to employee/HR queries.
  • Provide month-end reports to the finance team and address related queries.
  • Process Improvement and Projects
  • Focus on automating, scaling, and improving efficiency in a complex payroll environment.
  • Closely collaborate with the International Payroll Manager, EMEA Team, and other stakeholders in Finance, HR, and Total Rewards.
  • Identify gaps or areas for improvement, working with the manager to redesign and standardize processes.
  • Update process flow and procedure documentation.
  • Coordinate with task owners across departments.
  • Audit and Integration Support
  • Coordinate payroll-related audits with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely completion of action plans.
  • Assist in planning and executing the integration of new payroll entities/countries with the Payroll Manager, HR, and Finance teams.
  • Engage in other payroll-related projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Degree holder or equivalent relevant experience in business, finance, commerce, or related fields.
  • Experience in project management or process improvement initiatives.
  • Minimum 3 years payroll experience in multinational companies preferred.
  • Knowledge of payroll-related tax and legislative processes in EMEA is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with strong relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to identify challenges, share ideas, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a focus on quality.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially MS Excel.
