Job Summary:

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our finance team as a management accountant. You will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, preparing prepayment & accrual journals on Sage, and conducting balance sheet reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Producing monthly management accounts for review and consolidation">
  • Preparing and posting prepayment & accrual journals on Sage">
  • Assisting with monthly stock reconciliation and cost analysis versus budget">
  • Conducting balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany balances">
  • Supporting the Financial Controller with ad hoc reporting and operational queries">
  • Preparing VAT returns (UK & Ireland), Intrastat, payroll returns, and CSO reporting">
  • Liaising with auditors">
  • Assisting with projects to improve internal controls">
  • Providing cover and support for AP, AR, and Payroll functions">
  • Offering holiday cover and backup for the Financial Controller as needed">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Proficiency in IT, especially Microsoft Excel">
  • Working knowledge of Sage software (advantageous but not required)">
  • Relevant qualification — qualified accountant or experienced accountant capable of producing management accounts">
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to question and clarify details, and communicate effectively with stakeholders">
  • Positive attitude and ability to multitask">
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines">
  • Team player, flexible to business needs and month-end processes">
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting">
  • Discretion when handling sensitive information">
