At Family Carers Ireland, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Worker to join our team. Our charity supports family carers across the country who dedicate their lives to caring for loved ones.

Job Description:

Caring for vulnerable adults or children with physical or intellectual disabilities, frail older people, those with palliative care needs, or living with chronic illnesses or addiction requires patience, kindness, and empathy. As a Home Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing person-centred care in a home environment, ensuring the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Delivering high-quality care services to clients in their homes
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns or issues
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and healthcare professionals
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to clients

Successful candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a kind and caring nature, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. You must also possess a full, clean driver's license, use your own car, and be available to work flexible hours.

Requirements:
  • QQI Level 5 Healthcare Modules: Care Skills and Care of the Older Person
  • QQI Level 5 Full Healthcare Award including above modules
  • 1 year paid experience in a similar caring role
