Medical Device Engineer Position
About the JobWe are seeking a skilled Medical Device Engineer to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on developing medical devices under high standards of quality, regulatory compliance, and patient safety.
The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years' experience in usability engineering, ideally in the medical device or pharma industry, with a strong background in human factors and usability.
The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating human-centered design principles into the product development lifecycle, reducing user-related errors, and supporting the development of safe medical devices through careful design validation and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather HF data and feed it into the design team as design inputs.
- Document risks using DFMEA, UFMEA, design inputs table, and DHF document.
- Apply the IEC 62366 standard for medical device development.
- Set up, conduct, and conclude usability trials, analyzing data and identifying areas for improvement.
- Analyze human behavior and performance, applying user-centered design principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in experimental design and user research methodologies.
