
Senior Maintenance Planner

A Senior Maintenance Planner is required to prioritize safety in work planning, identifying risks and implementing mitigations as required.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prioritizing safety in work planning – identify risks associated with any tasks and put in place mitigations as required.
- Development of daily, weekly, monthly maintenance plans and scheduling activities through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Daily scheduling and assignment of activities to tie in with overall manufacturing schedule and priorities, with a right first time mindset.
- Working closely with the wider reliability team, including technicians and engineers to develop current planning strategies for optimum use of downtime windows and resources.
- Creating reporting tools through CMMS and other analytical software to demonstrate planning performance (planned vs actual, schedule adherence etc). Other performance indicators will track accuracy of maintenance plans, job plans, resourcing and maintenance spare part analysis.
- Develop and publish team metrics/KPIs using data analysis reports and monthly management reports to demonstrate team performance and continuous improvements.
- Evaluate vendor service level agreements and ensure they are up-to-date.
- Coordinate with other functional groups to ensure resources are available for activities. Attend site planning meetings for alignment of schedule with cross-functional groups and report back as required.
- Ensure external resources are available for activities as required.
- Assess incoming work orders and prioritize work accordingly.
- Follow up on completed work to ensure work orders are closed.
- Ensure correct permits are in place for activities and external contractors.
Key Requirements:
- A minimum Level 7 engineering-related qualification is required. A Level 8 qualification is desirable.
- Extensive experience in a similar industry with some exposure to maintenance/engineering planning and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) is required.
- CMMS experience in Maximo, SAP or similar is required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills are required, with experience in Spotfire being an advantage.
- A strong understanding of standard software applications, including Microsoft Excel and SharePoint, is required.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work independently and remotely when required, is required.
