Cloud Financial Optimization Specialist">

The role of Cloud Financial Optimization Specialist is crucial in helping organizations optimize cloud usage, implement cost management strategies, and maintain clear visibility of their cloud consumption.

You will work closely with Engineering teams to guide cloud resource management, implement cost-saving strategies, and ensure cloud expenditures align with the organization's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Extract and analyze large-scale, complex data from cloud billing and usage platforms.
  • Create and maintain automated dashboards and reporting tools that provide real-time visibility into costs for both technical and financial stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement of self-service spend analytics by presenting data with meaningful metrics, patterns, and forecasts.
  • Monitor and analyze cost controls for cloud expenditures, investigating anomalies and providing optimization recommendations.
  • Manage commitments such as reserved instances, savings plans, and spot instances in coordination with infrastructure and cloud vendors.
  • Provide technical assistance to internal teams on cost transparency, usage optimization approaches, and cost estimation for new projects.
  • Evaluate and share knowledge of market developments and new products & services in the cloud optimization domain.
  • Fulfill additional/ad hoc duties as required to support business needs.
Requirements
  • Proficient in data analysis and data science practices.
  • Expertise in public clouds, preferably AWS, with a focus on understanding and optimizing costs using cloud financial management principles.
  • Strong financial planning skills, capable of preparing dashboards and reports.
  • Technical proficiency, including scripting skills in any language for task automation.
  • Understanding of the Financial Services industry and how public cloud solutions address challenges and opportunities.
  • Knowledge of cost levers available to public cloud consumers.
  • Prior experience with cloud dashboards, reservation management, and cloud Fin Ops tooling.
