Job Description

The primary objective of this position is to support the maintenance of our fleet of vehicles and trailers. We operate in a dynamic global market where clients demand a service that is right first time, every time.

Responsibilities

  1. Maintenance and repair of a fleet of light and heavy goods vehicles, including articulated lorries, tractor units, rigid trucks, trailers & vans.
  2. General servicing and repairs of our fleet of trucks and trailers.
  3. Carrying out 12-week checks.
  4. Tyre maintenance supported by external contractor.
  5. Fault finding and preventative maintenance.
  6. Maintenance on batteries, including testing and replacement.
  7. Completion of all tasks in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and the highest industry standards.
  8. Maintenance area and work space to be kept in a clean and orderly fashion.
  9. Investigate and diagnose vehicles based on reports submitted by drivers and take the appropriate action.
  10. Troubleshoot and make repairs to equipment as necessary.
  11. Submit reports as required in addition to maintaining record keeping systems.
  12. Support the development of our HGV Apprentice mechanics.
  13. On the job learning of the upkeep and running of BEVs.
