Environmental Health Specialist
Job Purpose
Support the EHS team in driving and delivering all aspects of environmental health across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of the EHS department, ensuring compliance with legislation and fostering a proactive safety culture.
- Monitor and analyse incident reports and safety metrics; ensure daily performance statistics are compiled and presented to the operations team.
- Oversee the prompt investigation and documentation of accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Manage internal audit program; conduct safety inspections, generate reports, and coordinate with representatives.
- Proactively identify opportunities for safety performance improvement and support the development of site-wide EHS initiatives.
Requirements
- Level 8 qualification in Health & Safety or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years' experience in a manufacturing or high-risk environment desirable.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain safety procedures across all levels of the organisation.
- High attention to detail, with excellent administrative, reporting, and literacy skills.
