About the Opportunity:

Medforce Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join their dynamic multidisciplinary team in an acute hospital setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to work across a range of general medical/surgical wards.

The successful candidate will have a recognized qualification in Speech and Language Therapy and registration with CORU. They will have experience working with patients with complex medical conditions, including dysphagia and neurological disorders, and excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

">

Assess, diagnose, and treat adult patients with complex speech, language, and swallowing difficulties.

">

Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

">

Provide education and training to patients, their families, and staff to support communication and swallowing rehabilitation.

">

Keep accurate and up-to-date clinical records, adhering to hospital policies and relevant legislation.

">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • A recognized qualification in Speech and Language Therapy (BSc/MSc).">
  • Registration with CORU.">
  • Minimum of one year's post-graduate experience in a similar setting, ideally within an acute hospital environment.">
  • Proven experience working with patients with complex medical conditions, including dysphagia and neurological disorders.">
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.">
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.">
  • Strong commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.">
