Job Description:

This is a credit analyst-based role where the successful candidate will engage with customers who need help, work with them to determine their repayment capacity position, agree on a proposal, prepare a credit application and progress it through to our credit underwriters. Our SME arrears team proactively contacts customers in relation to account arrears and finds the most appropriate solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess customer proposals, prepare credit applications and make recommendations to our credit underwriting team for decision, in line with prevailing credit policies.
  • Be the personal point of contact by phone for our SME customers who are in financial difficulty or may be going into financial difficulty.
  • Answer customer questions over the phone quickly and efficiently in relation to their account.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • APA/QFA qualifications mandatory (Loans and Regulations)
  • SME Credit assessment experience desirable
  • Previous experience engaging with customers over the telephone
  • Previous role in a financial institution desirable
