Operational Risk Management Specialist

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to combine strategic expertise, regulatory risk management, and project delivery leadership in a role that sits at the intersection of operational control, non-financial risk, and organisational change.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Operational Permanent Control (OPC) project, ensuring effective implementation of policies and procedures across fraud, outsourcing, conduct, IT, GDPR, and compliance risks.
  • Define project scope, delivery approach, and integrated plans aligned with regulatory and operational risk objectives.
  • Develop and execute control plans and methodologies, ensuring results are analysed, documented, and remediated with full stakeholder traceability.
  • Facilitate Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and ensure procedural updates are completed in line with governance requirements.
  • Produce high-quality artefacts including status reports, dashboards, steering papers, and regulatory evidence packs.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear deliverables, SLAs, and change readiness.
Consulting & Leadership Responsibilities:
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering high-quality consulting services and driving strategic change.
  • Manage client relationships, influence decision-making, and ensure successful engagement outcomes.
  • Support the growth of Delta Capita's consulting practice through thought leadership, operational support, and team development.
  • Lead and inspire project teams, ensuring delivery excellence and continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in consulting, project management, or business analysis within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of operational risk, regulatory compliance, and control frameworks.
  • Experience managing change programmes across strategy, design, build, testing, and go-live phases.
  • Familiarity with capital markets, banking products, and lifecycle events.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical ability, and commitment to quality assurance.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver under pressure.
