Job Title: Maintenance Person

We are seeking a skilled and experienced maintenance professional to join our team as a Maintenance Person. This is a part-time position that requires the successful candidate to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks including checklists on building equipment, call systems, lights, and general maintenance procedures.
  • Schedule checks of stores and store areas to ensure they are well-maintained and secure.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and equipment checks, such as generator testing, fire exits, alarms, emergency doors, etc.
  • Repair minor issues with buildings and equipment, and perform preventive maintenance procedures on mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis.
  • Assist with renovation and remodeling projects, repairs plaster and drywall, paint building structures, and touch up paint in areas where it has become scuffed or blistered.
  • Keep the underfloor heating system in full working order with the assistance of a qualified plumber.
  • Repair electrical equipment and control circuits with assistance from a certified electrician.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
  • Maintain the grounds, including weeding and power hosing as needed.
Requirements:
  • Good knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • No educational qualifications are required, but practical maintenance courses would be desirable.
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance would be an advantage.
