Job Title:

Mechanical Technician

Location: Grangecastle

Duration: Permanent 39 Hours per week

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team in Grangecastle. As a Mechanical Technician, you will work as part of the utilities team and plan work activities in line with maintenance and Process schedule.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in commissioning activities, Project support and Equipment Vendor Maintenance
  2. Work with the Utilities Department and Engineering Department to plan and schedule the required Maintenance activities
  3. Manage and support service or equipment vendors when undertaking Maintenance as required to ensure that applicable standards are adhered to
  4. Liaise with discipline leads to coordinate activities for efficient execution of Maintenance activities
  5. Ensure all PTW and mechanical isolations are in place to perform maintenance works related to mechanical Utilities
  6. Develop cost saving and energy reduction initiatives on utilities systems
  7. Updating GMP maintenance documents and drawings to reflect any changes required and to improve operation of maintenance activities
  8. Conduct corrective and preventative maintenance on all operational equipment
  9. Proactively solve to ensure that operational issues are solved permanently
  10. Ensure corrective action is taken, as required, for all equipment and operational problems to drive continuous improvement in the Plant
  11. Plan and develop maintenance plans where required
  12. Operate and Maintain utility systems
  13. Respond to any request from operations for utility related issues

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Apprenticeship or 3rd Level qualification with Mechanical Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Mechanical utilities or process maintenance
  • Must have experience working within the Pharmaceutical or Biologics industry
  • Strong practical Mechanical knowledge
