Job Role Overview

This is a shift role at a biopharmaceutical site that offers career progression opportunities.

The Electrical Technician ensures all utilities equipment under their charge is available during the shift with alarms and deviations responded to and resolved according to site procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on site adhering to Environmental Health and Safety rules and guidelines.
  • Operate and monitor critical utilities systems.
  • Perform maintenance tasks for utilities equipment.
  • Respond to equipment deviations with the shift team and escalate as necessary.
  • Liaise with subcontractors during planned maintenance.
  • Review and sign relevant work permits with area owners.
  • Document work in compliance with site and regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver delegated engineering tasks with good practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist the engineering support team with updating Standard Operating Procedures and deliver training.
  • Comply with IPPC licence terms and ensure on-site actions are within those terms.
  • Keep training curricula up to date with client requirements.
  • Investigate utilities equipment problems and assist in improvement procedures.
  • Liaise with the Utilities Engineering Support Team.
  • Ensure smooth handover of issues to the oncoming shift and participate in shutdowns.
  • Maintain professional interactions with personnel on site.
  • Update spare parts lists and contribute to local reviews of maintenance performance data.
