Growth Acquisition Technical Lead

The Hustle is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join our Backend Engineering team within the Growth Acquisition group. As a Technical Lead, you will lead efforts to design and implement scalable backend services that drive user acquisition and support our ambitious growth goals.

You will collaborate closely with a dynamic team of engineers, marketers, and product specialists to innovate and optimize the systems that power our acquisition strategies. Your technical leadership and mentorship will play a crucial role in ensuring our backend technologies meet the demands of a rapidly changing market.

We are looking for a strong senior engineer with experience leading small teams using Java. You should have a customer-centric attitude and be able to develop opinions about our product. Additionally, you should understand building reliable systems in a complex architectural space.

Key Expectations:
- Tech Lead: player-coach responsible for leading a small team.
- High-performing engineer recognized by colleagues.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, and other Tech Leads to define goals for their team.
- Work across teams with other TLs to resolve cross-team issues.
- Take ownership of team's on-call health and product reliability and quality.
- Proactively look to grow team members to enable them to take on harder tasks.
