  • Responsible for all plant chemistry related issues, ensuring the effective control of power station chemistry to maintain high availability, efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Ensure that chemical safety is given the highest level of priority, protecting the public, personnel, and plant.
  • Provide strategic Chemistry direction, as required for our stations, and advice on good practice in a range of engineering/chemistry work.
  • Set appropriate Chemical safety standards, determine procedures, and audit chemical performance.
  • Maintain awareness of generating plant condition and chemistry-related issues, advising on Water and Wastewater treatment, Corrosion, Fuel Technology, Ash Technology, and Emissions Abatement Technology.

Additionally, the role involves reviewing chemical monitoring, managing and coordinating relevant Chemistry process activities, developing specifications, managing budgets, and evaluating quality.
