Portfolio Analyst - Motor Insurance Expert

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Portfolio Analyst to join our Personal Motor team.

In This Role You Will
  • Report to establish and track key financial and operational drivers of economic value across all motor products.
  • Provide insight and communicate key performance metrics to all aspects of the business.
  • Track effectiveness of product change strategies to ensure sales, growth, and profitability objectives are achieved.
  • Liaise with the actuarial pricing team to produce rate change analysis.
  • Maximise the use of telematics data by generating valuable insights to drive growth and profitability.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of underwriting action plans with actual to expected result measurement communicated regularly.
  • Work with the motor underwriting team to enrich data feeds for more effective risk underwriting.
  • Prepare materials required for monthly product & pricing sessions.
  • Produce concise, informative internal management reports monthly.
  • Support the business with financial budget creation.
  • Identify and implement best practices for Portfolio Management tools, process and techniques.
What We're Looking For
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in underwriting, actuarial or analytics functions.
  • Strong analytical, financial, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time, prioritise tasks, set goals, and develop systems.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with ability to work across teams.
  • Ability to work independently and promote new solutions.
  • Strong ability to work with different sources of information and large data sets.
