Food Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Quality Assurance Technician to join our team in County Monaghan.
This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for quality assurance and food safety to work with a leading food processing company in Ireland and the UK.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS), including HACCP, prerequisite programmes, and SOPs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with legislation, BRC, and customer standards;
- Conducting and reporting internal audits;
- Investigating customer complaints and external non-conformances;
- Analysing Production Quality KPIs and collaborating with production teams to resolve issues and drive improvement;
- Applying Lean principles in daily problem-solving and change management initiatives.
Requirements:
- Minimum recognised 3rd level qualification in a Food Science related discipline;
- Minimum 3 years+ Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience in Food Manufacturing environment;
- Experience working with Quality Systems;
- Demonstratable comprehensive knowledge of auditing, quality standards and systems, quality management techniques such as HACCP, Process Control, knowledge of food legislation, GFSI standards including BRC.
