As a Claims Handler, you will play a vital role in managing liability claims.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a portfolio of claims
- Handle claims through various stages, including direct settlement, PIAB, pre-litigation, and litigation
- Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring empathy, clarity, and efficiency in every interaction
- Make timely and accurate decisions on liability, indemnity, quantum, and settlement strategy
- Collaborate with solicitors, legal teams, and external service providers when needed
- Identify and pursue fraud and recovery opportunities
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory standards and internal processes
Requirements:
- APA qualification in both Personal and Commercial Insurance is essential
- Experience in handling injury or liability claims
- Strong technical understanding of the Personal Injuries Assessment Board and litigation processes
- Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Able to manage multiple stakeholders and work effectively under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
