Cocktail Connoisseur Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Bartender to join our team at a luxurious Hotel in Ireland.

About the Role:

• Operate the till system with efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure your station is maintained in a clean and tidy condition at all times.
• Carry out mise en place for service, guaranteeing sufficient stock levels to meet the required standard of service.
• Effectively clear, polish and store crockery, cutlery and glassware to minimize breakages and loss.
• Take orders to a high standard, maximizing sales by recommending products where appropriate.
• Anticipate client needs to enhance quality service and client satisfaction.
• Provide full co-operation to any colleague requiring assistance.
• Maintain regular and effective communication within your team and at all levels.
• Apply hotel policies & procedures at all times.
• Have thorough knowledge of wines, spirits and menu items.
• Handle guest complaints discreetly.
• Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with colleagues and managers.
• Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and report maintenance needed to your supervisor or manager.
• Secure keys and be fully aware of the key security policy.
• Clock in and out for breaks on a daily basis.
• Adhere to the hotel's customer relations policy.
• Ensure full knowledge of all hotel facilities and promote these facilities at every opportunity.
• Participate in all scheduled training programmes.
• Familiarize yourself with your departmental SOP (Standards of Procedure Manual).
• Participate in job chats and performance appraisals.
• Be familiar with the complaints procedure and handle complaints in a courteous and sympathetic fashion.
• Work towards achieving high hotel inspection results.
