Job Title:

An experienced Archivist is required to manage and preserve historical documents and artifacts.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and cataloging archival collections, ensuring they are properly stored and accessible.
  • This role involves providing research support to historians, genealogists, and other stakeholders, as well as developing and implementing policies for record management and preservation.
  • The archivist will also collaborate with staff to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, and contribute to the development of educational programs and materials related to archives and records management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Archives or Records Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in archival work, including cataloging, appraisal, and conservation.
  • Excellent research and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing archives and records management.
