Job Opportunity: Support Worker Day ServiceAbout This Role

This support worker role is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual disability and/or autism spectrum disorder.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support, promoting independence, and enhancing the overall well-being of our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise effectively with individuals we support, their network of support, family members, and other professionals as required, to ensure consistent planning and delivery of services.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve service objectives, review progress, and implement improvements to develop the service.
  • Collaborate with management to establish, maintain, and monitor performance standards across all aspects of the service, including consultation with individuals we support.
  • Balance risk assessments between enabling individuals we support to make choices and fulfilling the service duty of care, working closely with colleagues and management.
  • Create and facilitate individualized programs of meaningful activities that promote personal growth and development.
  • Complete reports as necessary to ensure accurate documentation and evaluation of service delivery.
  • Support individuals we support in engaging in regular exercise and outdoor activities to promote physical and mental well-being.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Hold a Level 7 degree in Social Care or a related field, with CORU registration.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual disability and/or autism spectrum disorder would be highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of positive behavior support and low arousal approaches in a person-centered environment.
