Embedded Systems Role

We are seeking a skilled Embedded Systems Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for designing and developing advanced automated inspection systems using cutting-edge AI and machine vision technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded software development, with experience working with Python, Gstreamer pipelines, open-source vision models, Git, and Docker. They will also possess excellent system assembly skills, with the ability to lead the build of machine systems and guide technicians through mechanical assembly and electrical wiring.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing robust applications across front-end and back-end platforms, with emphasis on scalability and maintainability.
  • Leading the build of machine systems, guiding technicians through both mechanical assembly and electrical wiring.
  • Managing code quality, version control, and deployment using Git and Docker.
  • Identifying and resolving critical bugs and production issues quickly and independently.
  • Accurately completing ISO9001 documentation, including requirement specs, bills of materials, and testing and reporting records.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a hands-on systems engineering role using Python, ideally in a startup or small-team environment.
  • A Master's Degree in Mechatronics / Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Specialized knowledge of AI technologies, machine learning frameworks, open-source vision tools such as OpenCV and YOLO.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum processes.
  • Proficiency in GIT and Docker.
  • The ability to work independently and show initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting or mentoring junior engineers.
