Job Opportunity: Stress Testing Expert

Our team is dedicated to understanding and managing risks faced by diversified financial institutions. We provide valuable insights across businesses, ensuring robust risk management and compliance.

This role requires a 3-day in-office commitment per week.

We aim to empower diverse people to shape possibilities in a supportive environment where everyone contributes ideas and drives outcomes.

As a key member of the team, you will develop critical components of our stress testing framework. This includes defining risk appetite, designing methodologies for Macquarie Bank Europe, leading enterprise-wide risk frameworks, and formulating regulatory responses.

Extensive exposure across divisions and senior management is expected. You will collaborate with stakeholders in the EMEA region and globally within the organisation.

What We Are Looking For
  • Good knowledge of stress testing and familiarity with UK or EU regulatory requirements and guidance.
  • Experience in a related field, providing transferable skills within a financial institution, consultancy practice, regulatory body, or rating agency.
  • An academic background, ideally in a quantitative discipline, with an understanding of macroeconomics and risk management.
  • A keen interest in financial markets, including current and prospective trends.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts.
  • Preference for working collaboratively, with strong verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as R, Python, or similar.
