Senior Health and Safety Specialist

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a real difference in ensuring a safe working environment.

We are seeking a Senior Health and Safety Specialist who can lead accident investigations, communicate findings to the EHS Committee, and advise on EHS training requirements.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Solved problems with solutions-oriented approach
  • Excellent knowledge of EHS requirements in the Construction Industry
  • Good understanding of current technical building requirements
  • Strong drive to improve systems, processes, and personal skills continuously
  • Ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

This specialist will work closely with site management teams to develop and implement EHS strategies and policies, ensuring the safety of all employees, contractors, and visitors.

Duties include:

  • Developing and implementing effective health and safety procedures
  • Maintaining ongoing legal compliance
  • Assisting in environmental protection
  • Reviewing and updating EHS policies and procedures as needed

The ideal candidate will have five or more years of experience in groundwork, facade, and fit-out, with an appropriate Health and Safety qualification and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accident investigation and reporting
  • EHS policy development and implementation
  • Training and development of EHS personnel
  • Regulatory compliance and audit management

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g. occupational health and safety)
  • Professional certification in EHS (e.g. NEBOSH)
  • Proven experience in EHS leadership and management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
