Job Summary

This role is a challenging opportunity to lead and develop the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) service, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with professional standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee MRI procedures, maintaining strict adherence to current legislation and professional standards.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, protocols, and guidelines for optimal resource utilization.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, monitoring, and reporting on service implementation.
  • Lead the team in delivering a patient-centered MRI service, fostering healthy working relationships, and promoting quality improvement processes.
  • Ensure accurate information systems for clinical data and maintain up-to-date knowledge on MRI safety issues.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to ensure adequate trained staff are available, implementing initiatives for ongoing service development and improvement.
Requirements

This position requires a Degree in Radiography or Diploma of The College of Radiographers, with at least 5 years' full-time post-qualification clinical experience in MRI. A recognized postgraduate course in MRI is also essential.
