Job Summary:
This role offers the opportunity to provide specialist nutrition and dietetic service to children and young people with disabilities.
The successful candidate will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, delivering a holistic service that promotes children's development, health, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide specialist assessment, intervention, and advice to children and young people (0–18 years) with complex needs.
- Develop individualised nutrition care plans in partnership with families and caregivers.
- Support children with growth, development, and complex feeding difficulties, ensuring evidence-based dietetic care.
- Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to joint goal-setting and integrated care planning.
- Deliver education and training to families, carers, schools, and community partners.
- Provide supervision, support, and guidance to junior colleagues and students as required.
- Contribute to service development, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of paediatric dietetics and engage in ongoing CPD.
- BSc/MSc in Human Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent.
- CORU Registration as a Dietitian (essential).
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, with at least 1 year working with children or young people.
- Experience in paediatric nutrition and FEDS management within a disability or healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and family-centred practice skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Full clean driving licence and access to own transport.
