Key Roles and Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Sales Assistant to join our team in Athlone. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working at the till, maintaining a clean store and well-stocked shelves, and supporting the Store Manager in daily store operations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Providing excellent customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries, providing product information, and offering assistance with purchases.
  • Operating the cash register, processing transactions accurately, and handling payments effectively.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the store, including stocking shelves and arranging displays in an attractive manner.
  • Performing heavy lifting tasks, such as moving crates of stock or large items, to ensure adequate inventory levels and proper store organisation.
  • Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, including following safety protocols and maintaining a tidy and welcoming store environment.
Requirements
  • Conversational English language level is essential for effective communication with colleagues and customers.
  • Proficiency in one of the Eastern European languages (e.g. Romanian, Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Croatian) is preferred for serving the local community.
  • Sales experience is highly valued, but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Full flexibility is required, including the availability to work on day shifts: 5 days a week from Monday to Sunday.
