Job Title: Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer to join our team as a permanent full-time employee.
  • The successful candidate will have opportunities to work on high-profile projects across various sectors, including life sciences, industrial, commercial, pharmaceutical, residential, and more.
  • This is a position located in Dublin and involves travel to various projects across Ireland.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and specification of mechanical engineering solutions for buildings, to current regulations and design standards.
  • Working with the project design team to define project requirements and develop technical solutions.
  • Pre-construction engineering activities including coordination of services and production of information (tender drawings, specifications, and equipment details).
  • Monitoring and management of projects during construction including site inspections, technical submittals, and RFI's.
  • Assisting staff in all work relating to the safe and timely completion of projects.
  • Inspecting all installation works against the agreed level of the approved quality plan.
  • Attending project meetings.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
  • At least 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in designing and specifying mechanical/building services systems.
  • A strong technical ability and good understanding of current engineering standards.
  • Prior Main Contractor experience is preferred, ideally projects experience preferable.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • An excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent IT skills – knowledge of Revit/BIM, Microsoft.
