Job Title: Production Optimization Specialist

Job Description

As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Your duties will include resolving technical problems, selecting precision tools for different machines, and implementing continuous improvement techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support manufacturing by resolving issues, providing tools, and implementing new products into production.
  • Lead process optimization using engineering and continuous improvement techniques to streamline product flow through the manufacturing cell.
  • Analyse product structures and processes to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Perform Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimize manufacturing cell performance.
  • Ensure company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO standards in the manufacturing area.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to quality control processes.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs to keep equipment operational.
  • Oversee the work of technicians and all personnel.
  • Establish effective work sequences to maximise efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

You must have a degree in Engineering or a related Science discipline and working knowledge of automation and assembly processes, laser welding systems, robotics, validation lifecycle, Six Sigma problem solving, and computer-aided modelling and design software.

Desirable Skills:

A supervisory experience is an advantage, as well as strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. You should also be able to collaborate with diverse teams, have a result-oriented approach, and knowledge of engineering science and manufacturing production processes.
