About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant facilities and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance & Monitoring
    • Perform routine checks and monitor plant/equipment performance to identify potential issues and optimize efficiency.
    • Complete planned mechanical and electrical maintenance using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
    • Calibrate and test alarms, instrumentation, and plant systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs
    • Respond quickly to plant/equipment failures and record resolutions to prevent recurrence.
    • Diagnose and solve mechanical, electrical, and process issues using troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge.
    • Repair electrical installations, including panel fault finding and variable speed drive (VSD) replacement.
  • Support & Collaboration
    • Work closely with sub-contractors to complete tasks safely and on time.
    • Partner with production to ensure equipment supports performance targets and optimize production efficiency.
    • Suggest improvements to plant reliability and efficiency to enhance overall performance.
  • Safety & Compliance
    • Manage permits to work (LOTO, hot works, general permits) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Use remote monitoring tools such as building management systems (BMS) to check plant condition and detect potential issues.
    • Ensure all work follows safety procedures and quality standards to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Other Key Duties
    • Coordinate plant shutdowns with management to minimize disruption and optimize maintenance activities.
    • Manage spares to ensure reliability of operations and reduce downtime.
    • Provide out-of-hours support on a rotational basis to ensure continuity of service.
    • Support general plant, services, and wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) maintenance to ensure overall facility integrity.
