The NPD Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for leading project-related engineering activities within NPD and providing engineering support to the manufacturing department during the new product introduction cycle.
This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and experience with process development. The ideal candidate will be able to develop process settings and improve productivity while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive product and process improvements through collaborative efforts with the NPD team.
- Manage new designs from concept to production, ensuring seamless transitions.
- Closely work with Subject Matter Experts to ensure all new products align with existing manufacturing capabilities.
- Collaborate with Lean and Operations teams to develop processes that meet world-class manufacturing standards.
- Display customer focus and accountability for quality and timeliness in own work.
- Level 8 Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- 2+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Strong mechanical background with knowledge of metals processing.
- Ability to develop process settings using scientific methodology.
- Knowledge of Six-Sigma methodology, problem-solving tools, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
