The role of the Mechanical Site Manager is a pivotal one within our team at PACE Project Controls Solutions. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for overseeing various stages of a project, working in conjunction with your project team to ensure seamless execution.
Responsibilities include:
- Project Start-Up: This involves ensuring that all necessary preparations are made prior to the commencement of the project.
- Project Running Phase: In this phase, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the site team to ensure that the project progresses smoothly.
- People Safety: Your primary concern will be the safety of everyone on site, including contractors, employees, and visitors.
- Quality: You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality throughout the project, from start to finish.
- Closing Activities: This involves ensuring that all loose ends are tied up, and the site is left in a satisfactory condition upon completion of the project.
You will also be expected to maintain a site diary and assist the QS (Quantity Surveyor) in their duties. Furthermore, you will need to ensure that the company's good image is maintained at all times, and that you integrate well with the site team.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A recognised pipefitter/plumber/sheet metal worker apprenticeship or trade certificate coupled with a minimum of 5 years' site management experience.
- Experience in managing mechanical design and build projects, preferably in commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, or data centre sectors.
- Strong computer abilities, particularly with regards to project management software.
