Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Telecommunications Design Leader to spearhead innovation in telecommunications infrastructure within railway projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring flawless integration with related systems, formulating and authenticating high-level and granular telecom network plans, and overseeing the crafting of telecom design documentation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Spearhead innovation in telecommunications infrastructure within railway projects, ensuring seamless integration with related systems.
  • Develop and authenticate high-level and granular telecom network plans, incorporating MPLS-TP, GSM-R, and SCADA systems, while ensuring adherence to project demands and industry benchmarks.
  • Oversee the creation of telecom design documentation, including network mappings, system architecture outlines, interface control documents, and equipment details.
  • Collaborate effectively with various engineering disciplines to guarantee best integration of tele-com systems within broader infrastructure framework.
  • Evaluate and sanction intricate design packages by internal teams or external contractors, ensuring precision and high-quality deliverables.
  • Direct telecom design trajectory from conceptualization to final approval and client acceptance.
  • Facilitate design review conferences, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design issues and enhance system efficacy.
  • Serve as focal point for telecom design queries, offering expert technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders alike.
  • Supervise testing and validation of telecom systems post-deployment, ensuring consistency with design specifications and functional requirements.
  • Lead risk evaluations concerning telecom design process and apply mitigation measures to guarantee timely and budget-compliant project delivery.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in telecommunications design, preferably within a railway or similar industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of MPLS-TP, GSM-R, and SCADA systems, as well as their applications and limitations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex design packages and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail and commitment to quality.
