Job Summary

The Maintenance Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of assets, executing maintenance tasks proportionally, effectively, and timely.

This strategic position supports the organisation's long-term operational goals by enhancing the overall maintenance strategy through continuous improvement, proactive problem-solving, and effective communication across all levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Planning: Develop and optimise preventive and predictive maintenance plans to prevent equipment failure and downtime.
  • Asset Management: Maintain accurate asset records within the CMMS system, ensure traceability, and provide effective reporting.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external contractors to achieve shared objectives and deliver results-driven outcomes.
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyse maintenance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, generating reports on asset reliability and maintenance effectiveness.
  • Spare Parts Management: Ensure critical spares are available and properly tracked to reduce downtime and enhance maintenance efficiency.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Experience: Time served technician with 5+ years' experience in a maintenance engineering role.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with knowledge of asset management principles and maintenance best practices.
